Wecon HMI Customize CAN Bus design instruction

WECON CAN bus protocol can be customized to satisfy different customers’ different needs. It’s the data transfer rules package of CAN chip.

1. Data send
When HMI prepare to send data, the ID number and DATA must be filled. According to CAN protocol, the limit of ID length is 4 bytes while DATA is 8 bytes. Customer can modify these contents through HMI’s script.

Wecon hmi configuration monitor and video input solution

Basically, as the operation panel for industrial control, HMI don’t need to play video. But in some occasions, we do need to monitor some place. So WECON customize the special need for the customers.

Video play principles

WECON HMI can play the video download from specified network. Its format is AVI whose size could be from several M bytes to several G bytes. WECON HMI adopts the cycling display mode. The distribution and play of video data is shown as follows:

Elements in the system:

Server:
use to store the video data, as FTP server for HMI downloading.
HMI: if there’s no operation in a specified time, it will display video which is stored in CF card. The largest CF card WECON can support is 4G.
Ethernet: connect HMI and server.

Video data management:
1. The video data played by HMI are all managed and distributed from server.
2. The server offer FTP service to allow HMI download video data.
3. The format of video can be AVI, DAT, 3GP and so on. The resolution must be less then 640*480.
4. We can set HMI’s IP, net gate parameters and server’s IP address.
5. HMI download from server through FTP at fixed period.
6. The new download video will cover the original video data.

The procedure of video play:

1. Play automatically

When there’s no operation on HMI in a certain period, HMI will play the video cycling.
2. Click to play
Click the video play button to play the video.

Configuration monitor:

WECON HMI connect with PLC through communication port such as RS232 and RS485. The screen can show as picture style. It’s the same with general human machine interface. We don’t discuss redundancy here.

How to upload project to PC

If you want upload project to PC, there will be two steps. UPLOA&DECOMPILE
First step: upload project to pc, then you will get a bmt file.

1 Connect PC with HMI (make sure the cable all right)
2 Click on 
3 Click on HMI->PU(U)
4 Choose the way you want to save the bmt file.
5 Then click on HMI->;PU(U).
Second steps: project decompile, then you will get the project
1 Open levi studio
2 Click on
 
3 Then click on Project Decompile
4 The tool will appear
5 Please choose the way you save the bmt file click on VIEW
6 Choose the Save Path, click on View
7 Save the new project
8 Click on Start Decompile
9 Open the project from the save way. Project->Open Project
