WECON hmi touch screen in Threading Machine

The threading machine is also called the tapping machine. It is a kind of fabricating machinery used to cut or form threads, screws, or jaws inside through holes or blind holes of various specifications, such as the body case, equipment surface, nut, and flange plate.

(1) Classifications
According to different driving sources, threading machine can be divided into manual threading machine, pneumatic threading machine, electric threading machine, mechanical mold threading machine and hydraulic threading machine; according to the axis number of the threading machine, it can be divided into single-axis threading machine, two-axis threading machine, four-axis threading machine, six-axis threading machine, and multi-axis threading machine; according to different types of machining parts, the threading machine can be also classified into the mold threading machine, universal threading machine, thermal nut threading machine, flange nut threading machine, round nut threading machine, hex nut threading machine, blind nut threading machine, anti-theft nut threading machine; according to the machining automation degree of the threading machine, it can be divided into full-automatic threading machine, semi-automatic threading machine, and manual threading machine; according to whether the threading machine can tap when it drills, the threading machine is as well divided into drilling threading machine, broaching threading machine, and special threading machine.


(2) System Functional Description
You can enter its tapping depth and thread, or use the touch screen to control its positive and negative rotation. Besides, you can monitor the drill rate, and the actual number of turns in order to increase the working efficiency, and reduce unnecessary trouble of changing the drill direction.

(3) Touch Screen System Features
The threading machine can be divided into four types:
A. Manual operation. Enter positive and negative numbers to servo through touch screen. The servo motor determines the positive or negative rotation. The external buttons close. Tapping stops.
B. Simplicity. The wire threading depth is equal to the number of turns, namely the number of forward turns is the same as that of reverse turns.
C. Precision. Rotate forward for 4 turns and backward for 1 turn. Return after reaching the preset number of turns. The purpose of reverse rotation is to clean up garbage at the drill head.
4 automatic presentation is to repeatedly execute the precision feature.
 



The speeds of tapping and withdrawing threading, as well as threading depth and pitch are set according to the process requirements.

(4) Function realization



Manual switch. Enter motor fixed lap 16 000; the motor speed, the pulse signal (address 1298) (external address 1298) and the number of turns are set. In pulsation, press the external switch (address 1567) 1567 rising time = HDX3.0, falling time HDW = 6.0. It begins to rotate, or stops after going 16,000 laps. Enter approximate negative 16,000 for manually reverse and forward rotation. 
 

For simplicity button, when the number of turns and the velocity pulse are equipped, and the external switch is 1567NO, the number of forward turns is equal to that of reserve turns. It rotates until it hits specified numbers of forward and reserve turns.





For Precision button, it refers to four forward turns and one backward turn so that debris wouldn’t pile up. It still needs the pulse model, the number of turns, depth and pitch.









The so-called automatic demonstration is to repeat the precise process, unless the external signal is OFF.






(5) Conclusion
A. It is equipped with text display and the servo so that you can achieve manual operation but cannot realize automatic operation.
B. It has text, PLC and the servo, so the cost is high.
C. It has touch screen, and the servo, which omits the PLC cost, and also looks better than the text display.
The threading machine is cheap. Just the servo coordinates with the touch screen. Currently merchants would like to maximize the benefits. In addition, the class of touch screen is a little bit higher than that of text display. With PLC omitted, it is much more affordable. The operation is simple as well. It can operate only when you enter threading speed, wire retreating speed, depth, pitch and speed reduction ratio. The manual and automatic modes can be switched. it is human and considers diversified choices.

The Application of modbus TCP in hmi

Ⅰ. Reasons for WECON hmi choosing modbus TCP/IP
1. The application layer of WECON HMI makes use of Modbus TCP, which makes industrial Ethernet data exchange achievable.
2. It’s easier to interconnect with different systems: available to management network, real-time monitoring network and field devices communication.
3. Low cost of network’s implementation: available to apply a common network component.
4. High data rate: high transmission capacity, the transmission result of 100M Ethernet is 4000 Modbus TCP messages per second, while each message can transfer 125 words, which is equivalent to 4000×125=500000 analog data (8000000 switch).
  
Ⅱ. Parameter Settings
   The case here PC is set as Slave(lower computer), and touch panel as Master(upper computer).In this way, PC can communicate with HMI.
   The IP address of PC is set: 192.168.1.2. The two screens of project is edited by the use of WECON configuration software, the device type of one is chosen ModBus TCP Slave, the other is ModBus TCP Master.
   The project of Slave is downloaded to HMI and Master’s is simulated online.The network of HMI and PC are connected by communication cable.

 * Setting of HMI project
   The setting of communication port configuration: 
   The communication port is selected Ethernet and device type is ModBus TCP Slave. The Ethernet parameter is set: 192.168.1.2:502(this IP address should be the same to PC’s). The network type is set: TCP_Client_2N. The setting is as shown in figure 1.

 * Setting of PC project
   The setting of communication port configuration: the communication port is selected Ethernet and device type is ModBus TCP Master.The Ethernet parameter is set: 192.168.1.201:502(As long as this IP address is different from HMI’s in the same network segment). The network type is set: TCP_Client_2N. The setting is as shown in figure 4.

Ⅲ. Conclusion

  
 Modbus protocol is field-bus protocol which only consists of physical layer and data layer. It’s particularly suitable for the application situation with simple architecture and low cost. Through supporting Modbus TCP/IP protocol, WECON touch panel is able to communicate with PC and other devices.It not only reduces the cost of system design, but also increases the versatility of the equipment, which provides convenience for users.

Wecon coming product and technology events

1. NEW 40 I/O plc will come into market soon
NEW 40 I/O plc take new mould, brand new appearings. USB download and other online functions have been added, and go with other improvements. Additionally, NEW 40 I/O plc will support Wecon plc modules, while there is only 60 I/O plc support them.
 
 
2. NEW 4.3 inch hmi will be put into market soon
NEW 4.3 inch hmi improved hardware architecture, and can be extended with CAN BUS module.
 
3. A8 series scada hmi of the second version is launching soon
This new version scada hmi improved and perfected the support of data recording, formular,Line Chart and so on. And offline simulator function has been added. This function is more convenient for users to test and use.
 
4. Wecon hmi can support communication with ethernet plc of siemens plc s7-300 series now
Wecon has developed the driver for s7-1200, s7-smart and s7-300, with the help of these driver, the communication is available. Related files about PLC terminal settings will be published soon.

5. Wecon hmi will support USB mouse and keyboard soon
Operating via USB mouse and keyboard will be available soon, it will be useful in some of the situations. This functions is under testing, it will be published as soon as we improve and perfect it.

The Application of WECON HMI in Winding Machine

(1) Process automation analysis
 
A. The winding machine is to roll a large-area flake material up according to some methods.
B. The winding machine is mainly used for hose lines, nylon polyester, polyester strings winding, high-tech fibers, coating, artificial turf silk yarn, lithium ion battery production, coating glass fiber, monofilament, multifilament, flat silk (multifilament or more single line pounds), wrong type spindle spinning, etc.
C. The most important performance index of fixed-length winding is the accuracy of winding and the good consistency of the finished product.
D. The winding machine supports continuous setting. If the real winding length has biased error, then we can correct it though setting the parameters.
 
(2) Operating Environment
 
The machine shall be installed in a dry, ventilated, good-light and easy operating place.   
 
(3) Function Description
Considering the present situation that the current machine is prone to have single point of failure, the winding machine has integrated most advanced technical achievements and hardware and software design. It dedicates to bringing a new experience to the winding machine industry. The winding machine is mainly used for hose lines, nylon polyester, polyester strings winding, high-tech fibers, coating, artificial turf silk yarn, lithium ion battery production, coating glass fiber, single, multifilament, flat silk (multifilament or more single line pounds), wrong type spindle spinning, etc. The operating system of the winding machine adopts standard network cabinets and modular structure design, and matches with rich optional components. Wecon products(hmi plc) in SIAF

Wecon digital voice announce hmi introduction

There is a special model for Wecon hmi. It's digital voice announce hmi model, with its exclusive "TTS module", it's very convenient for industrial or other fields monitoring. There are 7 inch and 10.2 inch TTS model for choices.

 Function declaration:
1) Speaker: Set the properties of the sound by default, as the following picture
Note: The speaker is xiaoyan(chinese female voice). If the text is in English, you should reset the speaker into the English one.
2) Add: Add a piece of new voice information.
3) Delete: Delete the Items checked.
4) Modify: Modify the item checked.
5) Import: Import the configuration file.
6) Export: Export the configure file.

Wecon TTS hmi model make monitoring much more easier and efficient, and it will not be a hard work for laborer anymore. We are still work on it, and will improve this model to be perfect.
